The picture above is my husband, Jim and me. We have been together for 35 years. Someone sent me the poem below...I love it! GOD SAID..... I said, "God, I hurt." And God said, I know." I said, "God, I cry a lot." And God said, "That is why I gave you tears." I said, "God, I am so depressed." And God said, "That is why I gave you Sunshine." I said, "God, life is so hard." And God said, "That is why I gave you loved ones." I said, "God, my loved one died." And God said, "So did mine." I said, "God, it is such a loss." And God said, I saw mine nailed to a cross." I said, "God, but your loved one lives." And God said, "So does yours." I said, "God, where are they now?" And God said, "Mine is on My right and yours is in the Light." I said, "God, it hurts." And God said, I know." Kenzi, The last time I saw you was when I came out to California to see you when you were 3 years old. You asked me, "Dixie, are you someone I am supposed to love ?" I said, " Well, if you do, that would be sooooo good, but if you don't, then that is okay too, but I LOVE YOU!" Then you said "BUT I DO ! " That moment was so meaningful to me. And I thought to myself , "Oh how I love this child, my first grandchild ". That same day, you picked out a beautiful aqua teal hat for me with a black half veil..cowgirl type hat. I STILL HAVE IT AND CHERISH THE THOUGHT THAT IT CAME FROM YOU. You really had a style for fashion, even at that young age. I Love you, Grandma Dixie Kenzi, Happy birthday on Dec. 27th. I have always celebrated your birthday. Every year without fail. Love and hugs, from your grandma Dixie. HAPPY GRADUATION THIS MAY 22 , 2010. MY HEART WILL BE WITH YOU THAT DAY.
